Subject: Consideration of Letter of Support for Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California's Barnes Street Housing Project

Executive Summary:

Larry Galupe, Tribal Vice-Chair for the Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California is asking the Board to approve the letter of support for the submission of the grant request for additional funding for Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California's Barnes Street housing project.

The Barnes Street Project will help provide housing opportunities, serving the diverse socioeconomic needs for low-income and moderate-income households. This project will help the community meet the housing availability needs for families who experienced a severe housing shortage during the 2015 Valley Fire by providing 40 units of mixed income housing.

The letter of support is requested for upcoming grants such as the HOME-ARP (HOME American Rescue Plan Program) and AHSC (Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program) grants.
