Subject: (Sitting as the Board of Directors for the Lake County Watershed Protection District) Approve Amendment 2-A to the Agreement between the Lake County Watershed Protection District and Monument Inc. for appraisal and acquisition services for the Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project and authorize the Chair of the Board of Directors to sign the Agreement

Executive Summary:

On December 12,2023, your Board approved Amendment 2 to the contract between the County of Lake and Monument, Inc. for Appraisal and Acquisition Services related to the Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project (Project). That amendment inadvertently contained a typographical error. Amendment 2-A corrects this issue, and all services from the original Amendment 2 (attached as Exhibit A) will not change, to include:

1. Additional acquisition services and appraisal reports and updates
2. Relocation plan updates
3. Escrow coordination
4. Project management and support services

It should be noted that funds for this purchase and process of parcel acquisition are outlined in the Funding Agreement No. 4600012946 between the State of California Department of Water Resources and Lake County Watershed Protection District, and these funds provide 100% funding for all costs associated with property purchases.
