Subject: Consideration of an Update on the Transfer of Lake County Housing Commission to Regional Housing Authority
Executive Summary:
As your board is aware, the Lake County Housing Commission planned to consolidate by voluntary transfer Lake County’s Housing Choice Voucher, Emergency Housing Voucher, and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing programs and its associated Annual Contributions Contract to the Regional Housing Authority, with an effective date of January 1, 2026, or such date as approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
I am recommending your board consider an update on the transfer of LCHC to RHA, including delays caused by the 43 (forty-three) day federal shutdown which lasted October 1, 2025, through November 12, 2025.
