Memorandum

Date:                                          June 18, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Rachael Dillman-Parsons, Director, Social Services

Subject:                     CalWORKs Outcome & Accountability Program (Cal-OAR)

System Improvement Plan (SIP)

Executive Summary:

The Cal-OAR  program is a 5-year repetitive continuous quality review cycle which includes a County Self-assessment, Stakeholder Peer Review, a System Improvement Plan and regular progress reports to California Department of Social Services.

This is the third year of the Cal-OAR process and we have created a System Improvement Plan for CalWORKs based on the identified focus areas in the County Self-Assessment that we presented back in 2023 to the Board of Supervisors.

California Department of Social Services has reviewed the plan which is now ready for Board of Supervisors’ signature on Attachment A.

A Simple presentation to the Board of Supervisors will summarize the contents of the plan.
