Subject:                     Sitting as the Board of Directors for the Lake County Watershed Protection District Approve “Approval of Just Compensation” for five (5) Properties within the Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project and authorize the Chair of the Board of Directors to sign the Approval

 

Executive Summary:

 

Our consultant Monument Inc. has prepared a combined Approval of Just Compensation for the purchase of properties known as parcels 004-015-02 for the cost of $296,500, 004-010-51 & 004-013-20 for the cost of $582,700, 004-013-11 for the cost of $625,000, 004-016-23 for the cost of $99,200, and 004-022-12 for the cost of $45,000; all located within the Middle Creek Project Area.

 

The continued movement towards purchasing these properties is forward progress toward the development of the Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project. 

 

The purchase of these parcels will be completed using grant funds provided by the State of California, Department of Water Resources, and the Flood Corridor Program following the provisions required by the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Properties Acquisition Policies Act of 1970.

 

The appraisal was prepared by a third party hired by our consultant, Monument Inc., with review and approval by the State of California, Department of Water Resources Real Estate Division.
