Subject: (a) Authorize the County of Lake to receive grant funds totaling $210,000 for five grant-funded projects through the California Collaborative Connectivity (CCC) program
(b) Authorize the Information Technology Director to sign MOU between Imperial County Office of Education and the Lake County Library.
(c) Adopt Resolution to Appropriate Unanticipated Revenue in BU 1904 Information Technology
(d) Amend the Capital Asset List for FY 2025-26 to include the following in BU 1904-Information Technology: Inside wiring modernization at Lakeport Library ($50,000), Inside wiring modernization at Redbud Library ($50,000), Inside wiring modernization at Upper Lake Library ($50,000)
Executive Summary:
The County of Lake has applied for and received approval to participate in the California Collaborative Connectivity (CCC) grant for the purposes of funding five projects:
1. Network modernization and security improvements ($50,000).
2. Inside wiring modernization at Lakeport Library ($50,000).
3. Inside wiring modernization at Redbud Library ($50,000).
4. Inside wiring modernization at Upper Lake Library ($50,000).
5. Technical Network training for Library IT support staff-security ($10,000).
The California Collaborative Connectivity (CCC) is a reimbursement grant and will reimburse for the costs of these associated projects. In order to proceed with these grant-funded projects, additional funding will need to be allocated to the Information Technology budget.
All of these allocations will be reimbursed by the grant upon project completion. The CCC MOU has been approved as to form by County Counsel.
