Subject: Approve Resolution of the Board of Education of the Kelseyville Unified School District Ordering a General Obligation Bond Election for November 5, 2024
Executive Summary:
Enclosed is a resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the Kelseyville Unified School District ordering a general obligation bond election for November 05, 2024. This election is being ordered under Proposition 39 and requires a 55% vote for passage.
In order to comply with Proposition 39 and related statutes, the Board of Education has adopted a full ballot text for the measure, to be printed in the ballot pamphlet, and an abbreviated form of the measure (see Appendix A and B to the resolution). In addition, the originally signed Tax Rate Statement to appear in the sample ballot, as required pursuant to Elections Code 9400 and following, is also enclosed (see Appendix C to the resolution).
The Board of Education of the District has requested consolidation of this election with others occurring on the same day, and we acknowledge that the consolidated elections will be held and conducted in the manner prescribed in Section 10418 of the Elections Code. We are submitting this resolution to you in your capacity as the Registrar of Voters, and have also provided a copy to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors for purposes of consolidation pursuant to Elections Code Section 10403.
