Memorandum

Date:                                          November 5, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          District 2 Supervisor, Bruno Sabatier

Subject:                     Consideration of Early Activation of Email for District 4 Supervisor Elect

Executive Summary:

In the 2024 Primaries Brad Rasmussen won the election for District 4 Supervisor obtaining more than 50% of the votes cast.  Supervisor Elect Rasmussen is planning to go to the California State Association of Counties Conference in Los Angeles, paid for by the County of Lake.  The Lake County Continuum of Care has reached out to Supervisor Elect Rasmussen to be a site leader in Lakeport for the upcoming Point in Time count.  Networking is a huge part of the CSAC conference and having continuity in contact information is essential to ongoing communication for any and all preparation that Supervisor Elect Rasmussen will be involved in.

In November 2018, prior to the swearing in ceremony of January 2019, both Supervisor Crandell and Supervisor Sabatier were provided email addresses prior to them going to the CSAC conference to prepare for the work as a Supervisor for Lake County.

With your approval, Supervisor Elect Rasmussen will be provided an email only with no other connection to the Lake County servers or network until after being sworn in, in January 2025.  The title provided to the email will be Supervisor Elect so as to ensure appropriate classification.
