Subject: Authorize the Public Works Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to sign a Purchase Order to TiLT Industrial Services in an amount not to exceed $108,995.22 for the purchase of one Barford 3R5036 Tracked Stacking Conveyor.
Executive Summary: The County’s FY 2026/2027 budget includes an appropriation in Integrated Waste Management, Budget Unit 4121, for the purchase of a tracked stacking conveyor for use at the Eastlake Landfill. The conveyor will work in conjunction with the County-owned rock crusher to improve operational efficiency by reducing the need to reposition the crusher while also extending extend its useful life by leveling the crusher to provide for even wear on the hammers and preserve the crusher undercarriage.
Staff solicited a quote from TiLT Industrial Services for one Barford 3R5036 Tracked Stacking Conveyor using TiLT’s contract No. V9Z3AFCSA3H3 with Sourcewell, a local government cooperative purchasing consortium. Consequently, the competitive bidding requirements of the County’s purchasing ordinance, County Code Section 2-38.4, are fulfilled. The total purchase price, including freight and sales tax, is $108,995.22, which requires Board of Supervisors authority to award.
