Subject: (a) Approve Agreement between the Lake County Sheriff's Department and U.S. Forest Service for 2023 annual operating and financial plan, in the amount of $20,000 for Pillsbury Patrol; and (b) Approve Agreement between the Lake County Sheriff’s Department and U.S. Forest Service for 2023 annual operating and financial plan, in the amount of $10,000 for Controlled Substance Operations, and (c) authorize the Sheriff and the Chair to sign.
Executive Summary: The Sheriff’s Office requests approval of the attached agreements from the U.S. Forest Service for enforcement services on Forest Service lands.
Revenue for fiscal year 2023/24 in the amount of $10,000 for Controlled Substance Operations has been allocated in the FY 2023/24 Sheriff/Marijuana preliminary budget 2203. There is a prior year(s) carryover of $20,000 that will be addressed during final budgets as needed
Revenue for fiscal year 2023/24 in the amount of $15,000 for Pillsbury Patrol Operations has been allocated in FY 2023/24 Sheriff/Coroner preliminary budget 2201. An additional $5,000 allocation will be adjusted during final budget. There is a prior year(s) carryover of $19,924 that will be addressed during final budgets as needed.
