Subject:                     Authorize the APCO to sign the FARMER program grant agreements.

 

Executive Summary:

The FARMER (Funding Agricultural Reduction Measure for Emissions Reductions) Shared Allocation Pool grant program participation was authorized by this Board on August 9, 2022.  After which District staff worked with the agricultural community to find viable projects to apply for this grant program.  As a result of this work 7 projects were awarded funding and have have expressed interest in completing the projects.  This has resulted in $392,825.80 in grant funding for these projects. 

 

The projects have undergone review and approval by a California Air Resources Board contractor (Placer County AQMD).  The projects listed below have been awarded funding by the State and are able to meet all necessary requirements of the grant program within the timeframe for this funding cycle.  Authorization to enter into Grant Agreements with the applicants is requested:

The above projects are funded with FARMER Year 4 funds and interest earned from FARMER year 3 funds.  The agreements will not be signed until funding is received by the District.  Funds should be received prior to the Board date.
