Subject: Consideration of update to the 2026 Board of Supervisors meeting calendar to a) Adjourn Special Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 15, 2026 due to lack of quorum; b) Schedule a Date/Time for a Workshop to Update the Board of Supervisors Rules of Procedure, General Protocol and Committees Policy; and c) Adjourn the Tuesday, December 1, 2026 Regular Board Meeting due to lack of quorum
Executive Summary:
Attached please find the current Board of Supervisors 2026 regular meeting calendar for your Board’s review.
a) On July 7, 2026, your Board approved the addition of a Special Meeting to your Annual Meeting calendar on Thursday, October 15, 2026 to consider the update of the suggested revisions to the Rules of Procedure, General Protocol and Committees Policy. Due to a conflict with a community ribbon cutting for the FLASHES project scheduled for October 15, 2026, I am requesting your Board adjourn this meeting due to lack of quorum.
b) Consider a new date and time to consider the revisions to the Board of Supervisors Rules of Procedure, General Protocol and Committees Policy.
c) A regular Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1, 2026. County Supervisors will be out of town attending the Annual California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Convention during this week. I am requesting your Board adjourn this meeting due to lack of quorum.
