Subject:                     a) Waive the Formal Bidding Process Pursuant to County Ordinance 3109 Section 2-38, subsection 38.1, Extension of annual agreements; and, b) Approve Ninth Amendment to the Lease between County of Lake and Ewing and Associates for the Child Welfare Services Parking Lot located on South Forbes Street in Lakeport, for the amount of $4,800 from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, and authorize the Chair to sign.

 

Executive Summary:

The Department of Social Services has leased this portion of the Ewing and Associates parking lot, located at 926 S. Forbes St., since 2001 to provide parking for our Child Welfare Services staff. This Amendment extends the lease for 1 year, and there is no increase to the monthly rent of $400.

 

We are requesting a waiver of the Formal Bidding Process under Section 38.1 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, as there has been no increase in the cost of this Lease.
