Subject:                     A) Presentation of Food Policy Council Activities and Strategic Plan B) Consideration of Food Policy Council By-Laws C) Consideration of Food Policy Council MOU with Lake County Community Foundations D) Reopen Application Process to Fill Food Policy Council members

 

Executive Summary:

A)                     The Food Policy Council would like to present our activities thus far to inform the Board of Supervisors of our vision, purpose, and Strategic Plan.

B)                     The Food Policy Council has finalized its by-laws and seeks the Board’s approval of our by-laws.

C)                     The Food Policy Council has crafted a Memorandum of Understanding with the Lake County Community Foundations to be our fiscal agent and attempt to obtain grant funding to help with our strategic plan.  We are seeking the Board’s approval of this MOU.

D)                     We seek a motion from the Board of Supervisors to clear our Food Policy Council of members so that current members and new members can reapply and fill up the seats available and start fresh with our by-laws, strategic plan and our fiscal agent.
