Subject: Approve Two Rental Agreements for Hangar Space at Lampson Field Airport with Mr. Kevin Soto and Authorize the Chair to Execute the Agreements
Executive Summary:
Two hanger spaces are located at Lampson Field Airport and owned by the County. Mr. Kevin Soto and another person leased the spaces until April 30, 2024. Mr. Soto has continued to occupy the spaces.
The Public Works Director wishes to lease the spaces to Mr. Soto at $300 per month and $500 per month. Based on the rents at the Ukiah Airport and the condition of the building, the rental rates are reasonable.
The term commenced on May 1, 2023 and will terminate on May 1, 2033 (10 years). Each rental agreement may be terminated by giving the other party notice in writing at least 45 days’ notice next prior to the date when such termination shall become effective.
