Memorandum

Date:                                          June 2, 2026

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Sanitation District Board

From:                                          Robin Borre, Special Districts Administrator

Subject:                     (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District Board of Directors) Approve the extension of the City of Lakeport Municipal Sewer District and Lake County Sanitation District Sewer Services Agreement Amendment #4 for the North Lakeport Area and the Unincorporated South Lakeport/Lands End Area until June 5, 2027 and authorize the Chair to sign

Executive Summary:

Special Districts requests the Board’s approval of Amendment #4 of the City of Lakeport Municipal Sewer District and Lake County Sanitation District regarding mutually provided sewer services for the North Lakeport area and the unincorporated South Lakeport area.  The current agreement expires June 5, 2026.  Amendment #4 extends the agreement for one year.  The new term will expire June 5, 2027.

The extension will allow the City to determine their annexation options for part of the area and to allow for contract negotiations.  South Lakeport/Lands End and the City of Lakeport rates are both  going through the Prop 218 Rate studies for the respective districts.  The new rates will be needed to complete the negotiations for the new contract.
