Memorandum

Date:                                          February 25, 2025

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Mireya G. Turner, Community Development Director

Subject:                     Consideration of Cannabis Ordinance Task Force Appointment

Executive Summary: The Cannabis Ordinance Task Force (COTF), established on July 12, 2022, is currently a seven-member advisory committee. The task force includes representation in the following categories: Cannabis Industry, Tribal, Farm Bureau, Lake County Cannabis Alliance, Agricultural Commissioner, and residents from North and South Lake County.

The Board directed Staff to advertise for applications for alternate seats for each membership category on January 14, 2025. The Administrative Office advertised the vacancies and to date, we have received one application for the alternate position of the Cannabis Industry category.

Attached please find the redacted application for Lincoln Lewis. Please note, Staff received a letter of resignation from Johnn Kelly from the South Lake County Resident seat. No action from the Board is required for the resignation. The attached COTF roster has been updated to reflect the vacancy.
