Subject: Approve Amendment #1 of Agreement with Praeses, LLC for Management, Consulting, Compliance and Reconciliation Services for Inmate telephones, Inmate tablets and Ancillary communication services and authorize the Sheriff and the Chairperson to sign.
Executive Summary:
Praeses, LLC has been maintaining the integrity of the inmate phone system since 2014. Due to the many FCC changes, it has become necessary to increase the compensation provided to Praeses, LLC for their services. The new monthly proposed rate will be $2,975.57 or $35,712 annually. Praeses provides day to day management services and audit services that the Sheriff’s Department is unable to provide as well as the intricate knowledge of the vast and numerous changes in regards to inmate services.
This fee is paid from the Sheriff/Inmate Welfare Trust fund budget 2215 and funds are available.
