Sponsors: Eddie Crandell

Memorandum

Date:                                          September 26, 2023

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Eddie Crandell, District 3 Supervisor

Subject:                     Consideration of and Direction to Staff to Develop Video in Support of October 5 Presentation to the Lake County Board of Supervisors

Executive Summary:

As you are aware, Supervisor Sabatier and I have recently been engaged in Russian River Water Forum Meetings on behalf of our Board, to ensure Lake County’s needs and priorities are well represented surrounding ongoing consideration of decommissioning and removal of the Potter Valley Project, including Scott Dam (Lake Pillsbury).

On October 5, we (and representatives from Lake Pillsbury Alliance) will be making a presentation to the Russian River Water Forum group, and have the opportunity to include a brief video, to augment our presentation.

We are seeking your Board’s approval to develop this video, as well as any input you have on central arguments that should be included in the video or presentation, more broadly.
