Executive Summary:

The Health Services Department respectfully requests Board approval to apply for and accept grant funding to support the California Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP).

These grant funds will support continued lead poisoning prevention services and consultation with childcare providers, healthcare providers, and the community. The funding also supports case management for children with elevated blood lead levels.

The program works to increase awareness of lead hazards, support and inform county-wide surveillance efforts, ensure program reporting and required documentation are provided to the CLPPB, and continue to collaborate with Environmental Health, Public Health Nursing, and local partners.
