Summary

 

Attached for the Board’s review and approval is Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement with Rege Construction, Inc. for the Eastlake Sanitary Landfill Phase One Cell Expansion Project.

 

This change order includes scope, schedule, and cost increases to the contract in response to landfill slope stability comments from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. The scope and cost increases are the result of the addition of a newly designed underdrain system along the entire cell floor area, and enhanced perimeter storm drain erosion control measures. The change order also includes contract scope and cost deductions that become obsolete because of the proposed modifications, as well as added contract working days.

 

The result is an increase of $1,054,248.00 to the original contract amount for a revised contract total of $6,215,911.00. Sufficient FY 23-24 capital appropriations are included in Budget Unit 4121, Integrated Waste Management, for costs that will be incurred this fiscal year. The FY 24-25 budget will include appropriations for costs incurred next fiscal year.
