Subject: Consideration of Resolution Amending Resolution No. 2025-119 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget Unit 2301, Sheriff-Jail Facilities
Executive Summary: The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the addition of one (1) Limited Term Sergeant-Corrections. This position is necessary to ensure continuity of operations within the Custody Division. Currently, a Sergeant-Corrections is on long-term leave with no estimated date of return. Establishing this Limited Term position will provide consistent supervision and maintain effective operations within the facility. The Limited Term position will conclude upon the return or separation of the Sergeant-Corrections currently on leave. Salary savings from the existing position will be used to cover any additional costs for this position.
