Subject:                     Adopt a Resolution Approving an Agreement with California Department of Food and Agricultural Industrial Hemp Cultivation Program Agreement No. 24-0417-000-SA for July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026, in the Amount of $9,327.50

 

Executive Summary:

 

I would like to ask the Board to adopt the attached resolution approving the Industrial Hemp resolution agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture. This agreement reimburses the County for registering hemp producers, enforcement activity for non-compliant plantings, public outreach, and reimbursement for mileage and supplies about industrial hemp. The agreement would reimburse the County up to $9,327.50 for the above-mentioned activities. This agreement term is from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026.

 

Should the Board adopt the Resolution, please have the chair sign and return one copy of the Agreement, and one copy of the Board Resolution and return them to the Agricultural Commissioner’s office for processing. A signed complete copy will be returned for your records.
