Subject:                      Approve closure of the Lake County Special Districts Department to the public on September 18, 2026; December 18, 2026; April 23, 2027; and June 11, 2027, for all-staff training and team-building activities

Executive Summary:

The Lake County Special Districts Department respectfully requests the Board’s approval to close the Department to the public on September 18, 2026; December 18, 2026; April 23, 2027; and June 11, 2027, to conduct all-staff training and team-building activities.

These scheduled closures will provide Special Districts staff with dedicated time to participate in training, professional development, and team-building activities designed to strengthen communication, collaboration, and overall departmental effectiveness.

During each closure, Special Districts staff will remain available on an on-call basis to respond to emergency situations and ensure that essential services continue without interruption.
