Subject: Consideration of Ordinance Amending Chapter 5 of the Lake County Code and Adopting by Reference Appendices C and J of the 2022 California Building Code, Part 2 of the California Code of Regulations, Title 24
Executive Summary:
When the Board adopted the 2022 California Code adoption process on March 7, 2023, Appendices C and J inadvertently omitted. Appendix C regulates agricultural structures, and Appendix J regulates grading. By adding their reference to the Lake County Code, it strengthens the County’s ability to ensure health and safety standards for building development within the County. Additionally, Appendix C adds a necessary reference for the newly adopted Exempt Agriculture Permit for the Temporary Hoop Structures for Cannabis Cultivation.
