Memorandum

Date:                                          June 27, 2023

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Stephen Carter, Jr., Interim Behavioral Health Services Director

Subject:                     Approve Agreement Between County of Lake and Redwood Community Services, Inc. Phoenix House Crisis Residential Treatment Facility in the Amount of $50,000 for Fiscal Year 2023-24 and Authorize the Board Chair to Sign.

Executive Summary:

Lake County Behavioral Health Services is expanding non-acute setting crisis interventions and services with the goal of diverting beneficiaries from the Emergency Department. To this end, we allocated ARPA funding in the amount of $20,500 per fiscal year (funding period), though the services provided in this contract are Medi-Cal reimbursable, this will help offset the share of cost to the County.

Lake County Behavioral Health Services conducted a Request for Qualifications and pre-contract Risk Assessment to ensure this vendor is in good standing to provide these services. This includes a review of financial and compliance metrics.
