Subject: (a) Approve Purchase of two (2) 2026 Dodge Durango GT AWD, Non-pursuit vehicles from SJ Denham Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in the amount not to exceed $80,000 from the Sheriff/Rural Sheriff’s Budget Unit 2206, Object Code 62.72 and (b) authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to sign the purchase order
Executive Summary: The Sheriff’s Department is requesting your Boards’ approval to purchase of two (2) 2026 Dodge Durango GT AWD, Non-pursuit vehicles from SJ Denham Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. One vehicle will be an unmarked vehicle assigned to the Enforcement Commander and the other will be assigned to the Administrative Sergeant.
A request for sealed bid was issued on February 26, 2026 to the following vendors:

Funding for this purchase is allocated in the Sheriff/Rural Sheriff’s budget 2206, Object Code 62.72. Due to the increased costs of purchasing vehicles and in order to rebuild the vehicle trust fund budget 2216 back to acceptable levels, monies were allocated in this budget at mid year for this purchase.
