Subject:                     (a) Approve Purchase of two (2) 2025 Ford Explorer Police Pursuit Vehicles from Napa Ford Lincoln in the amount not to exceed $104,000 from the Sheriff/Pursuit Replacement Budget Unit 2217, Object Code 62.72 and (b) authorize the Sheriff/Coroner or his designee to sign the purchase order

 

Executive Summary:    The Sheriff’s Department is requesting your Boards’ approval to purchase seven (7) 2022 Ford Explorer Police Pursuit vehicles.  These vehicles will be marked patrol units and will be used in the enforcement division. 

 

A request for sealed bid was issued on July 8, 2021 and bids were received from the following dealers:  Napa Ford Lincoln, Downtown Ford, Hansel Auto and Redwood Ford. This bid was also posted on both the County and Sheriff websites.  

 

Redwood Ford -   No longer have fleet sales

Folsom Lake Ford - Bid was not received

Downtown Ford - Bid was not received

Corning Ford - Bid was not received

Hansel Auto - Bid was not received

Napa Ford Lincoln - $51,520.94 per vehicle

 

Funds are budgeted in the Sheriff/Pursuit Vehicle Replacement Budget 2217 for fiscal year 2024/25.
