Date:                                          April 23, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Scott De Leon, Public Works Director

Subject:                     Approve the Supplemental Services Agreement Number 5 between the County of Lake and Armstrong Consultants for engineering services related to Lampson Airfield and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement

Executive Summary:

On July 26, 2022, your Board entered into a General Services Agreement with our airport consultant, Armstrong Consultants, to perform planning and engineering services for the Lampson Field Airport.  The General Services Agreement creates the basic contractual framework, with Supplemental Service Agreements developed for specific tasks to be accomplished.  Today’s item is for Supplemental Services Agreement (SSA) #5 for the consultant to prepare construction plans and specifications for the “East Apron Pavement Rehabilitation Project”.  This project will result in the rehabilitation of the entire parking apron at Lampson Field Airport, and construction is expected to occur in 2025 using grant funds from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The design work proposed by this SSA will also be funded by the FAA using annual entitlement funds.  A copy of the proposed Supplemental Services Agreement is attached for your information.
