Subject: Adopt resolution approving the amended Agreement No. 25-0400-000-SG with California Department of Food and Agriculture for compliance with the High Risk Pest Exclusion Program for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, for $12,559.94
Executive Summary:
I would like to ask the Board to adopt the attached Resolution approving the amended agreement with the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for High Risk Pest Exclusion in Lake County from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The new agreement amount is $12,599.94. This is an increase of $7,483.19 to the original agreement approved by your Board on September 9, 2025.
This state program reimburses the Agricultural Commissioner’s office for agricultural inspections at the UPS distribution center and other shipments received by local stores. This program is critical to Lake County agriculture to prevent invasive pests and diseases from becoming established in the county.
Should the Board adopt this Resolution, please have the chair sign and return one (1) copy of the Agreement, and one (1) copy of the Board Resolution and return them to the Department of Agriculture for processing. A signed completed copy will be returned for your records.
