Subject:                     Approve waiving the 900-hour extra help limit for staff in the Sheriff’s Department

 

Executive Summary:   The Sheriff’s Department requests approval to exceed the 900-hour extra help limit for the following employees:

 

Chris Macedo and Douglas Pike are each assigned to Court Security and funding is reimbursed through the Trial Court Security Account.  

 

Jim Adams and Janice Mills are assigned to the jail facility.

 

Each of these employees are PERS retirees and will not exceed 960 total hours in this fiscal year.   

 

Von Morshed is assigned to Administration, and her hours will exceed the 900-hour limit.   Brenndon Bosse is assigned to Marine Patrol.   Brenndon’s hours are reimbursed by the Department of Boating and Waterways. They are not PERS retirees and are not governed by the same rules that apply to PERS retirees. Their hours should not exceed 1,100.
