Executive Summary:
Under County of Lake Travel Policy, section 1.6 “travel exceeding 1,500 map distance miles round trip, and travel to or around the Las Vegas, Nevada area, shall require prior approval by Motion of the Board of Supervisors.”
In Child Welfare Services, circumstances may arise that require a Social Worker to accompany a youth out of state. The timeline involved in this kind of travel does not allow Social Services to bring each request before your board prior to the need to travel.
Social Services is seeking approval from your board for Child Welfare Services Social Workers to exceed 1,500 map distance miles round trip, or travel to or around the Las Vegas, Nevada area, due to client contact.
