Subject:                     AB481 / Lake County Sheriff’s Annual “Military Equipment” report

 

Executive Summary:    Pursuant to 7072 California Government Code, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office shall submit to the Board of Supervisors an annual “military equipment” report and shall make the equipment report available to the public. 

 

           Pursuant to 7071 California Government Code, the Lake County Board of Supervisors shall annually review any ordinance adopted pursuant to this section and vote to either approve or disapprove the renewal of ordinance #3123.

 

           On June 5th, 2023, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office completed a “military equipment” annual report and posted the report to the Sheriff’s Office website.  On July 6th, 2023, at 4 pm, the Lake County Sheriff’s office will hold a public meeting to present the report to the community and answer questions or address concerns as it pertains to the report, use, and possession of equipment deemed “military equipment” by California Government Code 7070.

 

           The Lake County Sheriff’s Office requests the Board of Supervisors at the next available regularly scheduled meeting review the attached Sheriff’s Office annual “military equipment” report and renew ordinance #3123.
