Subject: (Sitting as the Lake County Housing Commission) Consideration of Resolution of the Lake County Housing Commission (LCHC) Board of Commissioners Authorizing the Voluntary Transfer of LCHC’s Entire Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV), and Veterans Affairs Supportive housing (VASH) Assistance Programs and Associated Annual Contributions Contract to the Regional Housing Authority (RHA)
Executive Summary:
As your board is aware, the Lake County Housing Commission plans to consolidate by voluntary transfer Lake County’s Housing Choice Voucher, Emergency Housing Voucher, and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing programs and its associated Annual Contributions Contract to the Regional Housing Authority, with an effective date of July 1, 2025, or such date as approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
A resolution from your board is required to initiate the transfer process with HUD, as outlined in HUD Notice PIH 2015-12.
