Subject: (a) Consideration of a Presentation of the Summary of Hitch Spawning 2023 from the Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee (b) Consideration of Lake County Fish and Wildlife Advisory Committee Recommendation to Approve $5,400 to Support the Robinson Rancheria & California Department of Fish and Wildlife Program to Eradicate Carp from Clear Lake
Executive Summary:
The Lake County Fish and Wildlife Committee, a standing committee of the Board suggests supporting the following items:
1) Presentation of a summary report of this past year's hitch-spawning run.
2) Motion to approve $5,400 from Budget unit 2701 to support Robinson Rancheria and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) program to eradicate carp from Clear Lake.
This request would improve Clear Lake’s water quality and contribute to a more robust gamefish population that has suffered due to the recent drought.
