Subject:                     9:15 A.M. - PUBLIC HEARING - (Sitting as the Lake County Sanitation District Board of Directors) Consideration of Resolution establishing the Interim Composition of the Governing Board of the Lake County Sanitation District pursuant to California Health & Safety Code § 4730, et. seq

 

Executive Summary: 

 

A Resolution of Intent was adopted on July 14, 2026 for the LACOSAN Board of Directors to hold a public hearing to take place August 18, 2026 to hear any objections to the proposal of the interim composition of the Governing Board of the Lake County Sanitation District. 

 

The proposed Interim Board Composition for the LACOSAN Board of Directors is as follows:

 

                     Two (2) members representing the County of Lake

o The Chair of the Board

o One Board Member appointed by the Board, as delegated by the Kelseyville

    Water Works District

                     Two (2) members representing the City of Clearlake

o The Mayor

o One Councilmember appointed by the Council, as delegated by the Hidden

     Valley Community Services District

o                     One (1) member of the public appointed or elected pursuant to Health and Safety Code

§ 4730.1(a)(2)

 

The composition of the appointed Board members shall remain the same during the interim period, unless removed via election, upon which time the County or City shall appoint a replacement.

 

Today, your Board will appoint the 2nd County Board Representative.  The newly composed LACOSAN Board will appoint the 5th member in the next LACOSAN Meeting after August 18, 2026.
