To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Robin Borre, Special Districts Administrator

Subject:

Approve Request to Close the Lake County Special Districts Department on June 30, 2026, to the public for Fiscal Year Transition.

Executive Summary: The Special Districts Department requests the Board’s approval to close the Department office to the public on June 30, 2026, to facilitate the fiscal year- end transition activities. During this period, staff will be completing critical financial, billing, and administrative processes necessary to close out the Fiscal Year. The Departments software system will be unavailable throughout the transition, limiting the staff’s ability to access customer accounts, process payments, and conduct routine functions. The Department Staff will remain on call during the closure to respond to emergencies and maintain essential water and wastewater services.
