Subject: (Sitting as the Lake County Watershed Protection District, Board of Directors) Adopt Resolution Authorizing Lake County Watershed Protection District Director to Amend the Flood System Repair Project (FSRP) 2024 Levee Patrol Road Gravel Repair Project Agreement to Increase Funding for the Project
Executive Summary:
Staff is requesting the Board of Supervisors, acting as the Directors of the Lake County Watershed Protection District (District), approve Amendment for the Lake County FSRP Project.
The FSRP is a bond-funded program that repairs rural State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC) facilities of the Sacramento and San Joaquin River systems under state and LMA cost-share agreements. The Goal of the FSRP program is to provide assistance to Local Maintaining Agencies (LMAs) in implementing flood risk reduction projects.
Construction on the Lake County FSRP project was substantially completed on October 25, 2024. However, due to unforeseen additional costs, the Lake County Water Resources Department has requested supplemental funding to cover the expenses required for project closeout.
Therefore, staff requests the district's approval and signature on the resolution authorizing the Water Resources Director to approve and accept contract amendments as necessary.
