Subject: ADDENDUM - Consideration of Letter of Support for a South Lake County Fire Protection District Community Project Funding Request
Executive Summary:
Following the posting of the March 10, 2026, agenda, we were contacted by South Lake Fire Protection District, requesting consideration of a Letter of Support for Community Project Funding for toward a new Hidden Valley Lake Fire Station.
The attached draft letter is addressed to Congressman Mike Thompson, and will be copied to Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff.
As all members of our Board will be aware, on March 3, 2026, a Letter of Support was approved for a similar request from Lakeport Fire Protection District. While it is difficult to argue this request would not compete with that and other Lake County submittals, our Board may nonetheless consider this request.
