To: The Honorable E.J. Crandell, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: District 5 Supervisor, Jessica Pyska
District 2 Supervisor, Bruno Sabatier

Subject: Consideration of Presentation by California State Association of Counties (CSAC)

Executive Summary:

The County of Lake is a member of the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) who is a county advocate for all 58 counties at the state level. The primary purpose of CSAC is to represent county government before the California Legislature, administrative agencies and the federal government. CSAC places a strong emphasis on educating the public about the value and need for county programs and services.

CSAC wants to present to the Lake County Board of Supervisors on important topics such as housing/homelessness, the state budget, federal funding uncertainty, and more. CSAC has also been a wonderful partner in providing courses for Lake County staff to assist in developing our staff with the latest tools and tips on how to better serve our communities, enhance our knowledge of finances and budgets, navigating conflict, and becoming better leaders.
