Memorandum

Date: December 10, 2024

To: The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Susan Parker, County Administrative Officer
Lisa Judd, Deputy County Administrative Officer - Housing

Subject: Consideration of a Progress Report Presentation from Placeworks on the Housing Action and Implementation Plan (HAIP)

Executive Summary:
As your Board is aware, availability and supply of quality housing for all income levels is a need in Lake County. The lack of it may affect the capacity of local businesses and County government to maintain quality staff and limit economic opportunity in our region. Your Board's Legislative Priorities include "[Providing] new housing at all income levels."

The County Administrative Office is very pleased to provide a presentation by Placeworks regarding their ongoing work to develop a Countywide Housing Action and Implementation Plan (HAIP).

Placeworks' presentation will discuss sections of the HAIP, including Current Conditions, Engagement and Outreach and Site Selection. They will additionally preview a GIS tool that will enhance the accessibility of the plan, and an updated schedule for HAIP completion.
