Executive Summary:

On September 23, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved funding for the Lake County Chamber of Commerce for $34,000 and the Lake County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) for $26,000. The Board of Supervisors requested that agreements for both the EDC and the Chamber be enacted with the County for this financial support. Both agreements cover the respective organizations' operations for the upcoming year. Since the September 23 meeting, the EDC was notified by the US Department of Agriculture that it will not receive the $109,000 in Rural Business Development Grant funding it has received annually since 2019. At this time, no organization in California is receiving this funding.
