Subject: 11:00 A.M. - Consideration of Presentation from Northern Rural Energy Efficiency Network

Executive Summary:

Consideration of a presentation from the Northern Rural Energy Network (NREN). The NREN will provide energy efficiency opportunities in Lake County by Identifying gaps, needs, and opportunities that support the state's climate goals in the hard-to-reach areas of California. The program is launching in 2025 and 2026 in partnership with the Lake Area Planning Council, Mendocino Council of Governments, Redwood Coast Energy Authority and the Sierra Business Council.

NREN provides services to PG&E, Pioneer Energy, Sonoma Clean Power and Redwood Coast Energy Authority customers in Alpine, Amador, Butte Calaveras, El Dorado, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Mendocino, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sierra, Sutter, Tuolumne and Yuba Counties. The program includes energy efficiency kits, residential rebates and home energy assessments.

Public outreach will be ongoing throughout Lake County.
