RECOGNIZING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 21 - 28, 2026
AS NATIONAL FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA WEEK

WHEREAS, Future Farmers of America (FFA) is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education; and
WHEREAS, FFA develops members' potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success; and
WHEREAS, members are future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, and teachers, among many other fields; and
WHEREAS, the FFA has 1,042,245 student members in 9,407 chapters in all 50 States, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands; and
WHEREAS, more than 13,000 FFA advisors and agricultural education teachers deliver an integrated model of agricultural education, providing students with an innovative and cutting-edge education; and
WHEREAS, FFA members develop the necessary career-readiness skills to continue their education in college or to enter the workforce immediately; and
WHEREAS, Lake County's FFA chapters, Upper Lake FFA, Kelseyville FFA, Lower Lake FFA, and Middletown FFA play a vital role in connecting agricultural education to the local community by fostering partnerships with local producers, participating in civic and service activities, and strengthening the future of Lake County's agricultural economy; and
WHEREAS, FFA members exemplify the motto "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve" by embracing challenges and working toward meaningful conservation and e...
