Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
Social Services has contracted with the Lake County Office of Education (LCOE) for the provision of Differential Response (DR) services since 2007. DR services are provided to Lake County families referred by Social Services in order to prevent child abuse and neglect. Families with children ages six and up will receive services including but not limited to, outreach, needs assessments, and strategic case management tailored to meet each family's individual needs. Lake Family Resource Center also provides Differential Response services under a separate agreement with Social Services, and all agencies work together to provide the optimal response and services for families. In fiscal year 2019-2020, LCOE served 109 children and 61 parents, a total of 50 families, under the Differential Response Contract.
