Subject: Consideration of 1) Replace one At-large member on the Middletown Local Area Plan Advisory Committee (LAPAC) for one Agriculture representative; and 2) Appointment of member(s) to Middletown LAPAC

Executive Summary: 1) On April 2, 2024, the Board established eight Local Area Plan Advisory
Committees (LAPACs) as ad hoc working groups, to provide recommendations on the Lake County 2050 Local Area Plan Updates. Each LAPAC consists of nine members of various categories, listed in the table below.


The Middletown LAPAC currently has seven positions filled on the nine-member body, with two vacancies: Environmental and At-large. Supervisor Owen has expressed the importance of agriculture in District 1,and has requested the vacant Environmental position be converted to one Agriculture position. The current roster is included as Attachment 1.

2) Two applications have been received for either the two At-large positions, or one for Agriculture/Environmental and one for At-large. The applications received are from Monica Rosenthal and Hank Lescher and are included in the redacted versions as Attachments 2 and 3.
