SUBJECT: Consideration of an Agreement for Medical Services in Lake County Detention Facilities with California Forensic Medical Group for FY2017-2018
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Health Services Department has worked with California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG) since January 1, 1996 to provide medical services for inmates.
This is the fourth year optional agreement for the existing contract which has been mutually agreed upon by both the County and CFMG.
The County will pay a base sum of $2,560,135.47 for the period of July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. Because Juvenile Hall services are being provided through Mendocino County, the per diem threshold was reduced from 335 to 305 resulting a reduction to the agreement and a cost savings to the General Fund in the amount of $43,143.00.
