Subject: Update on 2024-25 Annual Report and Activities of the Lake County Resource Conservation District and the Lake County Fire Safe Council

Executive Summary:
The Lake County Resource Conservation District (RCD) had a very successful year in 2025 with several large grants awards that included hazard tree removal along critical evacuation routes and private properties within and adjacent to County maintained roads, reducing wildfire risk and completing fuels reduction activities, and partnering with the Lake County Community Development Department on a successful grant application.

The Lake County Fire Safe Council, a program of the RCD, convenes partners to coordinate wildfire resilience work and standardized messaging across Lake County to empower all residents with the educational, physical, and financial resources to proactively protect their family, property, and community from withing.

Staff from the RCD are here today to present to your Board and the community their annual updates.
