Subject: 9:30 A.M. - Consideration of Presentation Giving an Update on and relaunch of 211 Lake County
Executive Summary:
Utilized primarily during declared disasters, our contract with Interface Children & Family Services (ICFS), located in Ventura County, manages our 211 Lake CountA, in addition to 30+ other counties in California.
ICFS is a multi-service social services agency with 211, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Youth Crisis & Homelessness, Justice Services, Mental Health, Disaster, and Enhanced Care Management programs. Our 211 team offers 24/7 information and referrals via calls and texts, for benefits screening and application assistance, access and functional need household care coordination, state hate crime reporting, state tobacco cessation program referrals, VITA tax preparation appointment assistance, food pantry information, transportation assistance, in addition to extensive disaster, emergency, and pandemic response and more.
Today, our updated 211Lake.org website has been launched. With a focus on National 211 Day, February 11. Administration will be promoting 211 services to the public and local agencies.
