Memorandum

Date: May 23, 2023

To: The Honorable Jessica Pyska, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Susan Parker, County Administrative Officer

Subject: Approve Revision to Policy for County Letterhead and Business Cards to allow the County of Lake color seal

Executive Summary:

This policy is brought before your Board to consider the use of the County of Lake color seal on both letterhead and business cards. The current policy was last updated September 15, 2000, and states that only black or blue print may be used, including the seal. Since that time, the County has created a color seal approved for use. The Sheriff's Department, Marketing Department and Board of Supervisors are exempt from the current policy.

This updated policy also removes the procedure of purchasing letterhead or business cards through the County's approved printing contractors. With online vendors, there is now the option to order these items with the same quality and consistency and at a lower cost.
